Merriwa understands how important it is for our customers to know that the products we supply are made to the highest quality standard. In order to achieve this we have implemented a range of certifications in order to achieve our Vision of seamless integration into the community.
Merriwa’s business units, individually and collectively, will always strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers and ensures that products do not, directly or indirectly, harm the consumer.
ISO 9001:2008 (Licence No. QEC7006)
Quality Management System which sets the foundation for all our other certifications within Merriwa.
Merriwa has been certified to the ISO 9001 certification since July 1996 to which we have grown and developed to what is now a comprehensive and mature system.
Disability Service Standards (Licence No. DSC20072)
This standard ensures Merriwa is continually improving and able to provide people with disabilities better confidence in our employment services to them.
Merriwa has been compliant with the Disability Services Standards since October 2004.
Department of Human Services Standards (Licence No. DSV20046)
This standard is designed to promote rights for people accessing services and build greater transparency between the department, service providers, clients and the community.
Merriwa have been compliant with Department of Human Services Standards since December 2012 when the standard was first introduced.
AWPCS V2.2 Australian Wood Packaging Certification Scheme for Export (Licence # AWP172)
This certification authorises Merriwa to utilise the internationally recognised certification mark by AQIS to wood packaging material. Merriwa’s registration with AQIS can be found at: http://www.daff.gov.au/biosecurity/export/wood-packaging/awpcs-register.
Merriwa has been compliant with the AWPCS certification since October 2006.
Woolworths Quality Assurance Standard V8 (Licence # HCV20740)
This certification ensures that all products that we package for Woolworths meets with their own stringent Food Safety requirements which are benchmarked against global standards.
Merriwa has been compliant with this standard since June 2009
Australian Windows Association (Accredited Member # 315-01)
Merriwa (Superior Joinery) has been a member for many years. This membership ensures we manufacture doors and windows in compliance with all relevant Australian Standards. Merriwa is audited yearly by a NATA accredited body appointed by AWA.
These audits ensures Merriwa is compliant with both AWA and WERS.
BRC (British Retail Consortium) Food Technical Standard (BRC site Code: 1844396)
This standard specifies the safety, quality and operational criteria required to ensure Merriwa produces and fulfils our obligations and exceed all our customers’ needs with regard to safety, legality and quality food products.
Merriwa has been complaint with this standard since May 2014.
