About the role
The Marketing Communications & Events Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance Merriwa Industries’ brand awareness, engagement, and reputation. This role will drive meaningful connections with customers, employees, partners, and the broader community, ensuring that Merriwa’s mission, values and impact are consistently communicated and embraced.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in brand management, marketing communications and public relations.
- Proven ability to develop and execute brand engagement strategies across multiple channels.
- Excellent project management skills and experience.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience building relationships across diverse groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including storytelling and content creation.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools, social media management
- Experience managing events, sponsorships and community engagement initiatives.
- Understanding of legal obligations with regard to data and privacy information and trade practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
- Strong analytical skills to measure brand impact and engagement.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience in working with Marketing Automation platforms such as HubSpot & Website platforms such as WordPress & Webflow.
- Experience in a not-for-profit, social enterprise, disability or community services sector.
- Understanding of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Manufacturing industries, Horticulture or regional development.
- Graphic design skills – Adobe Creative Suite, Canva
Qualifications and other requirements
- NDIS Worker Screener Check
- Working with Children Check
- Drivers licence
- Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business or other related field (or equivalent experience).
