Today, Merriwa came together to farewell Peter Anderson with a special lunch, celebrating his outstanding 5.5 years of service and the significant contribution he has made to our organisation.
During his time at Merriwa, Peter played a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening our Packaging operations. As General Manager of Packaging, he provided leadership across our two Wangaratta facilities and our Wodonga site, supporting teams to deliver high-quality outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency and collaboration.
One of Peter’s most notable achievements was guiding the Packaging division through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. During a period of uncertainty and rapid change, his steady leadership, problem-solving approach and commitment to staff wellbeing helped ensure business continuity and supported our workforce through an exceptionally demanding time.
Beyond operational success, Peter has been a valued mentor and leader, building strong relationships with staff, partners and stakeholders. His dedication to creating positive workplace culture and supporting people to grow and succeed has left a lasting impact across Merriwa.
