Merriwa Welcomes New CEO

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Tobin-King as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 5 November 2025.

Helen brings a wealth of experience, a local network and a proven track record in leading complex business investment projects across diverse sectors. Her career spans both the public and private sectors where values driven leadership has been at the forefront of her work.

Helen’s professional journey includes working with iconic organisations such as Qantas, Mars, the Defence Industry supply chain, and Norske Skog. Her expertise in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), supply chain and logistics, and public sector strategy has been instrumental in driving investment attraction, economic development, and business sustainability initiatives.

As a Board Director at Merriwa Industries since October 2024, Helen has already demonstrated a deep commitment to the organisation’s mission. Her commercial acumen, combined with a strong dedication to inclusion, aligns seamlessly with Merriwa’s purpose of creating meaningful employment for people with disability.

Helen’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Merriwa Industries. Her visionary leadership and collaborative approach will be pivotal as we continue to grow our impact and champion inclusive employment.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Sasha Oliver for acting in the CEO role throughout the recruitment process. Sasha’s deep understanding of our organisation, steady leadership, and commitment to continuity have been invaluable during this transitional period.
